Michael started his golfing career at Avon Valley Golf and Country Club in 1991, and has been a member of the Club ever since.
He is certified by the PGA of Canada in level I-IV Golf Teaching & Coaching. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Dalhousie University,
as well as Professional Golf Management Certificate from Camosun College in British Columbia.
Michael's career has taken him to Florida, British Columbia, New Brunswick and golf clubs and teaching facilities across Nova Scotia.
His playing ability has been tested and developed at tournaments in Canada and the US. He has played into a second level at the Canadian tour qualifying school and
has won a Callaway Cup event on the Atlantic PGA of Canada tour, with a score of 29 on the back nine.
Michael's teaching philosophy is to make golf fun and simple, with a focus on proper body motion and on the fundamentals of the game.
He promotes junior excellence and has been involved in instructing junior programs around the Maritimes, at Gold Clubs including Avon Valley,
Grandview, and Lakeside, in New Brunswick. Michael is pleased to have played with beginners who have never held a club, and at the other end of the spectrum,
his in honored to have played with Korean PGA star K.J. Choi.
Michael's is excited to be promoting his new venture, the Windsor Golf Centre.
An indoor facility with a simulator, driving range, putting and chipping areas, the Windsor Golf Centre is the only place you can extend the golf season to 12 months!
Michael will be offering private as well as group lessons, and the Windsor Golf Center is also available for private functions.
